HELPING HOMES & BUSINESSES IN WINCHESTER & SOUTHAMPTON

We have moved from Jewry Street in Winchester to new offices in Ocean Village, Southampton, to accomodate our growing contract work. We now operate on a collect and return, callout and remote basis and can visit or collect from Winchester, Southampton or wider Hampshire. Although we have expanded our business contract side, don't worry we can still help home and small business customers with their computer service needs.

We offer remote support sessions for £40, adhoc callouts for £120 to your home or office, and we now offer collect and return fixed rate repairs (excluding parts) for £80 for all jobs (that exclude soldering/heatgun work, with all prices quoted include taxes and fees).

We are still available on (01962) 844700 from 9am-5.30pm, Monday to Saturday and look forward to helping you from our new premises.

ABOUT US

Computer Solutions Winchester was established in 1999 with one mission: to deliver high quality, low jargon technology support to home and business customers at a reasonable price. After twenty years and over a hundred thousand jobs, we are sure to be able to help with your technology needs.

It all started with James Dickens going to work for Paul Kane & Tom Gill on Jewry Street in Winchester. Having been trained up himself, James was made partner and went on to train over forty other technicians over the years.

It is the same emphasis on giving young technicians a chance to grow and gain experience from their seniors that has remained the bedrock for our company and it started with James learning from Tom and Paul.

OUR TEAM & EMPHASIS ON TRAINING

We train our technicians to a high standard, not just technically but in customer service and the ability to speak plain English. Currently we have a senior technician, James the manager and director, as well as a new junior in training starting soon to replace the outgoing Krystian (pictured) who we wish well in his new corporate support role.

As a small team that has successfully managed tens of thousands of repairs over the years for several thousand customers. We rely not only on our CompTia and Microsoft training but have gone further to develop our own standards of training and procedure for all manner of our technician’s basic training, from security to customer service.

WE CAN HELP YOU REMOTELY

We can help with a variety of issues for £40 for up to half an hour, whether it be a software glitch or a bit of tuition we can help. Call us on (01962) 844 700 to find out more.

We use secure Teamviewer remote support software, that only gives us access once, and generates a random code every session for your security. This way we can help your resolve Windows and Mac questions from the comfort of your home or office.

CALLOUT SERVICE TO HOMES & OFFICES

We can visit your home or office to resolve hardware or software issues, setting up and giving training on new equipment, advise on home or office network/media setups, or even sharing and backing up your small office data.

The first hour of a callout costs £120 and £80 per hour thereafter for the same visit. Call (01962) 844700 to book a visit.

We can also do our collect and return repair service for £80 if the problem is something best suited to a workshop repair (a job such that requires dismantling on a bench, or a lengthly job is best taken away).

BLOCKS OF HOURS

For those that don't want the commitment of a contract but will need multiple hours of help over the coming years, you can buy a block of five or ten hours with no expiry date for £400 or £800. This gives reduced charges on various jobs, so saves you money (remote support or workshop repairs from £20 instead of £40 and callouts from £80 compared to £120 on an ad-hoc basis).

You may only need us once for help setting up an office VPN or migrating to the cloud, or once a week to help with small problems on your home PC or Mac, either way we can help.

WE COLLECT LAPTOPS FOR CHARITY

We collect and refurbish laptops for the homeless. The data is securely wiped and repair work is done as part of a training regime for work experience students from the local schools we take in twice a year. So if you have an old laptop you want to donate please drop it in, the laptops are donated to the Winchester Churches Nightshelter (visit www.wcns.org for more details).
